Thomas Rhett brilliantly said, "You wake up ain't nothing the same, life changes." Two weeks ago I was trying out for my senior year of cheerleading. I had my fall all planned out. I would cheer, run cross country, work, hang out with friends, and go to school. I had my schedule worked out down to the hours of each day. As many of you know, this week everything changed for a lot of people.
August 31st we will go back to school remotely and all fall sports are suspended for the time being. All of a sudden my family is under a lot of stress. All of a sudden, the fall I had planned out perfectly isn't going to happen. And I am not the only person dealing with this change.
This morning I met for breakfast with my friend Lauren and she reminded me how important it is not to over schedule yourself. She reminded me of the importance of time for yourself and time to spend with God.
I know that God has a plan, and when everything changes so quickly and my whole world flip flops, I know something good will come out of it. God does not let us sit in our sorrow.
Although the positives of this crazy situation may be difficult to reflect on, I all of a sudden have a lot of time to spend with God, spend developing my relationships with my friends and family, and time to reflect on myself. God works in mysterious ways.
I encourage you this week to find the positives in your flip flopped world and thank God for the way He moves in our lives.
